Chris Chattin had a very successful 30 year racing career from age 15 to 45. He competed in cross country, indoor and outdoor track in both high school (Franklin H.S. ’82) and college (University of Maryland ’86). His personal records include 14:42 for 5 km, 30:34 for 10 km, 50:24 for 10 miles, 1:06:57 for the half marathon and a 2:17:01 marathon (fastest marathon ever run by a Howard Countian). He qualified twice for the U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials (1988 and 1992). Chris also went on to have a stellar master’s running career.In his 41st year of running, Chris no longer competes but continues to run for fun and exercise.
