Conrad Fernandes

Conrad was a late bloomer (late 30’s) into running but was highly motivated to lose 30 pounds (and several pant sizes), so he ran his first marathon (MCM) in 2004, and has not looked back since.

Conrad especially enjoys training aspiring runners looking to qualify for Boston or PRs in mid to long distances, marathons and even Ultras. Conrad has coached Striders’ Next Step Programs and served as an official pacer for Baltimore, Frederick, Rock ‘N Roll DC, and other marathons over the years, and has run several Boston marathons since 2008. In general, Conrad simply loves running and training with friends on all terrains – from 5K road races to 50 miler trail Ultras and everything in between.

All of Conrad’s personal bests (PRs) were accomplished in his late 40’s – including a sub 3-hour marathon (2:58:34)…and he is still going strong! Based on his personal experience, Conrad loves to say:
