Kelly Westlake

Kelly started running competitively in high school and then with the McGill University Varsity cross-country and track teams. Highlights of her running career include winning the provincial indoor 3000m, qualifying for nationals 4 years in a row, and (fast forward to a jog stroller) her half marathon PR 5 months after the birth of her son. Kelly relocated to Maryland from California in 2011 and has since been enjoying the socialization and motivation of running with the Howard County Striders. Her short-term goal is to improve her “post-college” PRs in the shorter distance races of 5km, 8km, and 10km. Her long-term goal is to run consistently, competitively, and happily at all distances for as long as she can.
