Please join us for the 24th annual Penguin Pace 5K.

Our theme this year is “Warming up and moving on”. The 5K Penguin Pace is open to all ages, from children to seniors. In addition to experienced runners who wish to stay in shape, this race is an excellent opportunity for families and first-time runners. The race will take place early on Sunday morning February 3, 2019. Plenty of time for personal activities the rest of the morning and afternoon, and plenty of time to prepare for a Superbowl party later in the evening.

This year every registered runner will receive a warm blanket and enjoy a complimentary brunch at the award ceremony after the race. Once again, this will be indoors at the Bain 50+ Center, a place to be warm before and after the race. And this year the registration fee is only $25.

The Penguin Pace 5K race is a fund raiser for senior activities in Howard County, a worthy cause. The Bain Center Council (A non-profit charitable organization) pays all expenses for this race. In addition to sponsorships and donations, a small portion of your registration fee helps to cover these expenses and allow us to show a net gain. Please help us out.

The Howard County Striders work with the Bain Center Council to manage the race course and the registration process. Please scroll down for more detail.
