Keith Levasseur began running in high school, competing in both cross country and track. Upon graduation and enlisting in the Marine Corps, his running took on a non-competitive role as one of many aspects of maintaining physical fitness. After nine years of service, Keith left active duty and focused on things other than running. In 2008, Keith began running again to get back into shape and when a friend had an extra bib for the Cherry Blossom 10 Miler, he jumped at the chance to run his first “real” race and first run longer than 5 miles. Hooked on the race atmosphere and competition, he decided to see how far he could go and ran his first marathon, the Marine Corps Marathon, later that year.

Since then, he’s run over a hundred races, more than a dozen marathons, and a handful of ultra marathons – including Leadville Trail 100-mile run. In seeing how far he can push the limit, not only did he compete in 3 marathons in October 2010; but in 2011 he competed in marathon or longer distance races (MAR, 50M, 50K, 50M, MAR) over 5 consecutive weeks.

His future running goals are to continue improving his times at all distances, but most importantly to continue having fun participating in events with his partner in crime.
