Ted Poulos edged out Remus Medley in a fight for the finish in the 2 mile race. Josh Alcombright and Samantha Matthews were the 10K leaders. Mark Breitenbach made it under and hour for a fine 15K performance and overall winner. Pat Brooks took a commanding lead at the 5K point to win the 15K for the women. The 15K race was the 1st race of the new Great Grand Master (GGM) series. Seventy-eight degrees isnt usually considered hot, but yesterdays race reminded some of us that struggled with the suddenly warmer temperatures, that we need to get used to the increased heat. Thanks to the great team of volunteers, we had a safe, successful race. Shane Bogan was cruising the course on his bike, carrying Gatorade for those who needed it and helped a couple runners stay on course.
