Ninety-seven people ran the 1st HCS Winter Series race at Burleigh Manor Middle School. Julie Thienel was 5 seconds too slow to upset the 1996 course record in the 5 miler. Alvin Yew, a Univ of MD engineering major, won the men's race. Noah wood and Sarah Mero were the 2 mile winners. Judith Weber baked great cookies - enough to go around for all.
